It's Official

Seems like the little mutation has been quietly (so far!) sitting there for the past 40-something years. Both my sisters tested positive too.

Well, what do you say when the words are still all jumbled up and running riot in your mind? "Talk to you tomorrow" might be the best option right now.

I'm not as OK as I wanted to be, but at least I know the sun will shine again in about 10 hours' time!

I am very, very sorry. I don't know what to say. My thoughts are with you and your sisters. I hope you can find strength together.

Karen, in the little time I've "known" you, what I have learned is that you are a strong and resourceful woman with a loving family. I am very sad and sorry to hear this news. But I have a feeling that you and your sisters will find your way together. Wishing you all the best and peace in whatever decisions you make.

Oh Karen. I am so sorry.
Don't know what else to say.

Karen, am I correct that this just means there's a predisposition? That nothing is definite?

Hugs and prayers to you, your sisters and your mom (and your dad, too).

I am so sorry.

I have no sage words to offer you, just my sympathy at the shock it must be to recieve such life-altering news.

Karen, I'm so sorry to hear this news. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Forewarned is forearmed, though, right? I wish you didn't have to add this to your list of worries, and I'm hoping you can outmaneuver this little bastard.

Ok. Not the news we were hoping for. You sound amazingly strong about it. I guess we'll hear from you more when you've had a chance to mull things over. I'm so sorry to hear the news.

I wish you'd got the all-clear (and your family, too) but the most important thing is not your genes, but your actual health. So instead I'm wishing you healthy.

I'm sorry to hear this. Drop me an email if you want a scientist to interpret any of the info you are getting about this.

Was offline most of yesterday so I'm sorry for being late here. I saw your headline and wanted so badly for it to be the other outcome. Is there anything at all we can do to make you feel better? Feeling helpless. Wish there was more than just words to ease your worries.

Ohh! at least you know, what more can I say, lost for words for you and hoping it stays dormant forever! Loves of my love...
